A light inquisitor is someone who is in the know, but not the know. The inquisitor is someone who questions the legitimacy of something, especially something that is a big deal to them. A light inquisitor may be one who is a critic, or someone who just wants to learn more about something.

The light inquisitor is basically someone like Dr. Watson, who is a brilliant genius, but who still doesn’t know everything. This is something that can happen when you’re in your mid-thirties or later but not too late.
